Maricopa County

Parks & Recreation Department

February 12, 2007

To Whom It May Concern:

This a letter of recommendation for Niche Contractors, Inc.  I am the project manager for Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department and I have had the pleasure of working with Cheryl Garner, Niche Contractors, Inc.  Since July 2005, Niche Contractors has been involved with two Parks’ projects that have included numerous restrooms, entry stations, and monument signs at five regional parks: Cave Creek, Estrella, McDowell, Usery, and White Tank Mountain Regional Parks.

First, let me admit that Maricopa County Parks projects have presented unique challenges namely that the park sites are spread out in the County, there are sometimes unknown underground utilities, many vocal stakeholders, low funds for change orders, and strict schedules.  The complexity of the projects are not helped by the industries’ shortage of materials and long lead times.  Despite these obstacles, Niche Contractors has been able to overcome every hurdle and remain a team player.

Niche Contractors understands the Parks’ operations and sensitivity to the environment, as well as being very patient with the stakeholders.  Niche responds to issues in a timely manner, comprehends the scope of work, and demands quality from their subcontractors.  Further, Cheryl Garner and her staff have always conducted themselves in a professional manner and I highly recommend their company for projects that meet your agencies’ needs.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at 602-506-8675.

Most sincerely,

To whom it may concern:

As the Purchasing Manager at Rogers Corporation, I have had the opportunity to work with Cheryl Garner on several commercial construction projects including office expansions and manufacturing clean rooms.

She was diligent in her efforts to ensure we received competitive pricing, along with the best quality materials and labor, as well as timely performance.

She was professional and competitive in the bidding process and worked to offer suggestions for cost savings that did not jeopardize the integrity of our projects. Cheryl has proven to be effective and efficient in meeting and exceeding her commitments. I was pleased with her level of professionalism, her ability to manage construction teams, as well as her attention to detail. She kept our project and engineering teams informed throughout the projects, she followed up continuously by providing professionally drafted minutes after every meeting and meeting the timelines agreed to and detailed in those minutes. She promptly responded after the projects were complete to ensure everything was as it should be or to repair any items that needed repair.

I would recommend Cheryl Garner and any company that she is owner of or affiliated with to be considered for small and large commercial construction projects where commitment, dedication, and quality are important factors. In my professional experience with her, she has proven that she strives to achieve customer satisfaction and drives her teams toward that end.

Best regards,
